Period of oscillation of a spring mass system is given by

T = 2\pi\sqrt{ \frac{m}{k}}

where there is no effect by the upthrust or the weight of the object (mass) as they are forces which determines the acceleration of the object. But as you can see in the equation given above the period of a mass spring system only depends on "mass hung on the spring(m)" and the "spring's constant(k)".

∴T₁ =  T₂
