resistance is 3.5 ohm as 2 and 6 ohm are in parallel and series with 2 ohm so 2+(12/8)=3.5
i=v/r
i=9/3.5=2.5 amp
i=v/r
i=9/3.5=2.5 amp

here we should take only the parallel combination added with series 2 ohm
but ques is asking total resistance
here the total resistance is nothing but those parallel and series combination
