Answer:

1. FUNCTIONS OF THE CUTICLE. The plant cuticle is most typically associated with providing a fixed barrier to excessive transpirational water loss, allowing gas exchange and transpiration to be dynamically controlled by stomata.

2. A. Lateral meristem:

The lateral meristems are present on the lateral side of the stem and root of a plant. These meristems help in increasing the thickness of the plants.

B. Areas where it can be found include: skin, capillary walls, glomeruli, pericardial lining, pleural lining, peritoneal cavity lining, and alveolar lining

C. As it comprises about 20-25% of total body weight in healthy individuals, the main function of adipose tissue is to store energy in the form of lipids (fat). Based on its location, fat tissue is divided into parietal (under the skin) and visceral (surrounding organs).

3. Xylem and Phloem are called conductin tissues as they are involved in the conduction of water and the food. Xylem -conducts water absorbed by the roots to different parts of the plant. Phloem - conducts food prepared in the leaves to various parts of the plant.

4. Xylem tissues are found in leaves, roots, and stems. Phloem tissues are found in stems and leaves which later grow in the roots, fruits, and seeds. Xylem tissue is composed of xylem vessels, fibers, and tracheids. Phloem tissue is composed of like sieve tubes, companion cells, phloem fibers, and phloem parenchyma.

5. They are both made up of cells embedded in an extracellular matrix. It is the nature of the matrix that defines the properties of these connective tissues. Cartilage is thin, avascular, flexible and resistant to compressive forces. Bone is highly vascularised, and its calcified matrix makes it very strong.

6. So, to review, neurons are specialized cells of the nervous system that transmit signals throughout the body. Neurons have long extensions that extend out from the cell body called dendrites and axons. Dendrites are extensions of neurons that receive signals and conduct them toward the cell body.

Answer:

An ability is text and a characteristic on an object that is un-italicized, being neither flavor text nor reminder text. Abilities always fall into one of four categories: spell abilities, activated abilities, triggered abilities, and static abilities.
