Nitrogen gas - 50 kg
hydrogen gas- 10kg
N2 +3 H2 -----> 2NH3
1mole of nitrogen gas react with 3 moles of hydrogen gas to form 2 mole of NH3
Molar mass of 1mole nitrogen gas - 28g
Molar mass of 3mole hydrogen gas - 6g
28g of nitrogen gas react with hydrogen gas = 6g
50000g ( 50kg) nitrogen gas react with hydrogen gas - 6/28 × 50000 = 10714.28g
which is more than given hydrogen
Therefore , hydrogen is limiting reagent
Now , 6 g of hydrogen react with nitrogen to produce - 34g
10000g ( 10kg ) hydrogen gas react with nitrogen to produce = 6/34× 10000 = 1764.7
No. of moles of NH3 = 1764.7 /34 = 51.9 moles
