Angle with horizontal =45

Let compression in strut=T


Breaking the components of T we get

Horizontal component=cos 45 T

Vertical component=sin45 T

And vertical component= weight

So

T =w/sin45

T=150/sin45

T=212.132lb

Tension in cable = horizontal component of T

Tension in cable = cos 45 T

Tension in cable=150lb
