can someone tell me if the computer is required in the board class 10 exam or not

Computer for Class 10th is the optional subject or it is the 6th subject for class 10th students.

If you fail in any subject then the marks of computer will be added in that subject.

computer is optional subject that start from std 6 and is u want to graduate in accounting balancing so take computer and work in tally
