Sanyogita used to limp. She never crossed the road without help. On Sunday morning she was on her way to the auditorium for music class. She suddenly saw a child crossing the road and a bus coming from the other in full speed. In this situation, she didn't think anything about herself and ran to save the child. She was able to save him. The child started to cry and until ten his parents came running and got hold of him. They thanked Sanyogita for saving their child and praised her for her bravery. She was also very happy to see that she had saved someone's life without thinking about herself. She also got nominated for the national bravery award. When she was called on the stage to receive the award, she felt very happy and so with tears of joy and pride the 10 year old Sanyogita more received the national bravery award from the prime minister.

"After twenty years is a short story with the theme of a sense of duty written by O.Henry. He introduces two characters in his story, Bob and Jimmy. Bob, is a money minded person, who goes behind money, he can do anything for money, has no family attachment and have no secure job for his future. But Jimmy is quite controversial to Bob, he is emotionally attached to his family, wants a secure job for his future, goes behind love and he needs money to live a secure life with his loved ones.

After twenty years they meet again. Bob had so much money, earned by illegal ways. He has a costly diamond scarf and a diamond watch. But he has no friends because he won’t stay in a single place. The police are searching to imprison him. Whereas Jimmy had a secure job with much savings, enjoying his life with wife and children and is surrounded by his loved ones. Finally, Bob is jailed for his illegal activities. A sense of duty mattered in both Bob and Jimmy’s life."
