Average speed = Total distance covered / Total time taken......... Average speed can be Zero only if distance covered is Zero, and since body is a moving body so the distance can't be zero........ And if 0 is at the place of Time then the ans. will be "not defined" as anything divided by 0 is not defined................... So the average speed of a moving body can't be Zero ( 0 ).

dikshaverma4you: Heya plzz mark it as best....
SarvagyaM: Average velocity of a particle is 0 when its displacement is 0 as velocity= displacement/time. But during the path that the body covers (distance) it never comes to rest but keeps moving and changing direction in order to come back to the same point. This way the velocity is never 0
SarvagyaM: Same Thing Right?
dikshaverma4you: Yeah, as velocity is speed and here in velocity displacement is taken in place of distance.
