No, magnitude of displacement can never be greater than magnitude of distance. It can be equal to it. Because whenever distance is covered in one particular direction in a straight line, the displacement increases. if you change your direction towards your beginning point, the displacement would decrease, and if you turn side wards, both distance and displacement would increase but distance would increase much faster as compared to the displacement
