Yes, occurence of day and night is a periodic change as earth rotates about its axis around the sun which leads to day and night. The angular velocity is constant so day is for 12 hours and night for 12 hours.

•The changes which occur regularly are considered as a periodic change.

•Hence changes like day and night can be considered as a periodic change.

•Day and night occur as a resultance of the earth rotating around itself while revolving around the sun.

•So when the earth rotates one surface of the earth faces the side of the sun which forms a day to that side and another side there is darkness due to lack of sunlight. It is considered as night.

•It takes 24hours to complete one rotation around it self. Hence it takes 24hours for completion of day and night.

•Hence it is a periodic change.
