Answer:

Yes. Sum of three consecutive numbers can be 36 because it is divisible by three. If any number is divisible by three, then sum of three consecutive numbers can be that number.

11+12+13=36

Answer:

No. (explanation below)

Step-by-step explanation:

Fore-knowledge:

Sum of two consecutive odd numbers will always be an even number.

Sum of two consecutive odd numbers will always be odd.

->Sum of odd number of (consecutive or non-consecutive ) odd numbers will always result in an Odd number.

And

->Sum of Even number of (Consecutive or non-consecutive) Odd numbers will always result in an even number.

Assume; x-2, x , x+2 be The Three odd nunbers whose sum is 36.

If this is true;

Then;

(x-2)+x+(x+2)=36

->3x=36

->x=36/3=12

So we get 12 as one number.

But as it turns out...

12 is an Even number...

So let us take 13...

there fore the next two numbers must be:

11 and 15

But 11+15+13=39≠36

Hence it is not possible for three consecutive odd numbers to form 36.

Hope it helps...
