The answer would be no in terms of the wolves eating grass and fruits as they are pure carnivores which means they survive by eating other animals and yes to the part where they can live in open grassy plains as they are warm-blooded and can adapt to the surroundings over a period of time.
But mostly the surrounding where the wolves would be found is in places which are on a high platform and in cold areas as they are originally from these kinds of places.
