I can give u the concepts.
To convert something from mixed fraction:
5 1/3=(5*3+1)/3=16/3.
To add fractions:
Take lcm and then add.
eg:
5/3+1/2-3/4
lcm of 3 , 2and 4
=12
(5*4+1*6-3*3)/12=(20+6-9)/12=17/12.
