Question :

1) Find the value of 'x'.

(\frac{2}{7}){}^{3}\times(\frac{2}{7}){}^{3x} =(\frac{2}{7}){}^{x -1}

Here,

Using the identity,

\tt{a{}^{m}\times{a}^{n}=a{}^{m +n}}

2/7 is common on both the sides.

Let's cancel all 2/7, we get :

3 + 3x = x - 1

Taking coefficients and variables to one side, we get :

3 + 1 = x - 3x

4 = -2x

x = -2

Thus, In Question 1) Value of x is -2.

Let's answer the question 2)

Here also, we have to find the value of x.

\tt{{ 3}^{2x}\times3{}^{2}=3{}^{6}}

Here also, Using the identity :

\tt{a{}^{m}\times{a}^{n} =a{}^{m + n}}

As 3 is common constant on both sides, Cancelling 3 on both sides

\tt{2x + 2 =6}

Taking 2 to the R. H. S ,

2x = 6 - 2

2x = 4

x = 2

Value of x is 2.

Now, Let's look at Question 3)

We already know that,

Sum of measure of all angles of a triangle is 180°.

Hence,

(3x - 17) + (2x - 5) + (x + 40) = 180

=> 6x + 18 = 180

=> 6x = 162

=> x = 27

Thus, Value of x is 27.

Final Answers :

Q.1) x = -2

Q.2) x = 2

Q.3) x = 27
