therefore, 3=3×4=12.

8 = 72 ( here 8 is multiplied by 9   )

Now,
Let's consider the dots:
5 = 30 ( here 5 is multiplied by 6)
4 = 20 ( here 4 is multiplied by 5)

I did so because the number multiplied from 9 to 3 in the given picture is in ascending order and hence following the sequence i multiplied 3 by 4.
