Hormone pill works by stimulating a pregnancy through increasing the concentration of oestrogen and progesterone, which are sex hormones in women. They, together, block the hormone FSH that is responsible for causing eggs to mature in the ovaries. If no eggs mature, they are not released into the oviduct, and if they are not in the oviduct, a sperm cannot fertilise it so the woman doesn’t become pregnant. When on the pill, the woman does not have periods because her uterus lining is maintained by the hormones, so is not shed, and no egg matures. Therefore this is the most effective method of contracteption.

Barrier methods include diaphragm aka cap, which is placed over the woman’s cervix, to stop sperm from entering. Men use a condom, placed over the penis, to stop sperm from entering the woman.

I hope this helps you, please mark me brainliest if it does.
