Can u please help me with this question??
1.the width of sudha’s garden is 2/3 of its length . if its perimeter is 40m, find its dimensions.
think its a tricky one.

Answer:

let length= x

width= 2/3× x

assuming the garden to be rectangular

perimeter= 2(l+w)

i.e 40= 2(x+2x/3)

40= 2(5x/3)

finally we get x= 12m

thus length is 12 and width is 8

and area = 12×8= 96m^2
