Answer :

Trigonometry is the study of the ratios of angles and the interchanging of angles with their ratios happen.

RULE :

cos(A + B) = cosA cosB - sinA sinB
sin(A + B) = sinA cosB + cosA sinB
cos(A - B) = cosA cosB + sinA sinB
sin(A - B) = sinA cosB - cosA sinB

Now,

cos{(B + C)/2}

= cos(B/2 + C/2)

= cos(B/2) cos(C/2) - sin(B/2) sin(C/2)

Another one.

cos(B + C/2)

= cosB cos(C/2) - sinB sin(C/2)
