 = \frac{(a^{2}-2^{2})(a+1)}{(a-2)}

 = \frac{(a+2)\cancel {(a-2)} (a+1)}{\cancel {(a-2)}}

 = (a+2)(a+1)

 = a(a+1)+2(a+1)

 = a^{2} + a + 2a + 2

 = a^{2} + 3a + 2

Therefore.,

 \red{\frac{(a^{2}-4)(a+1)}{(a-2)}} \green { =a^{2} + 3a + 2}
