can we apply Newtons third law to the gravitation force

The Third law of Motion by Sir Issac Newton says that every action has an equal and opposite reaction. You are asking about how this applies to gravitation, but according to me, this law will just apply to actions, not forces. So I guess you can’t say that every force will have an opposite and equal force,

It is though safe to assume that every action caused by gravitation will follow this law. Lets say that an asteroid hits a planet or a moon. Cause? Gravity. Result? It gets destroyed by the surface it lands on, or at least is harmed, if not destroyed. So the force it is coming with due to gravitation has a reaction as a large impact on the asteroid itself.
