Can we burn a matchstick in space???

space is vaccum,it contains no air or oxygen, so it does not complete the basic need for combustion. so it will not fire.

To burn anything, oxygen is required. In space, oxygen is not present or the amount of oxygen is so little that it can't support the combustion process. Hence we can not burn a matchstick in space.
