atomic no. of element determine the no. of proton in the nucleus . there are 118 element still discoverd out of 98 are exist naturally.
according to theory of element existance there are some restriction of increase in necluone rate in nucleus . when atomic no. increases than the element become heavier and also beacome unstable .
but after 118 element once new element was also discoverd sometime its discoved accidently or sometime after large afferts. discovery of element is large laboratory work after that element is decided element is new or its already discovered
