Explanation:First of all we have to calculate the covalent radius of two or more combined hetero atoms. It means these atoms are dissimilar and are combined to each other through covalent bond.

Take example of HCL

So for calculating radius we have to see where the shared pair of electrons lie between these atoms.

Now for radius cal the distance from centre of nucleus of each atom to the place where there are shared pair of electrons.
