Can we see the charges with our eyes? if not why cant we?

All these atoms and charges are just imaginary which are expected to be in every particle as the basic building block...It is said that when a particle is reduced a millions of times there would be something called a charge which is million times tinier than a microscopic bacteria...
There are 2 reasons why we can't see the charges-
1.There is no such equipment made to focus on such a tiny particle.
2.All these charges and atoms are just assumptions which satisfied the real time conditions..
