Explanation:

To separate the mixture of common salt and sulphur without using water

We use Carbon disulphide for it.

Firstly we dissolve the mixture into carbon disulphide it dissolves sulphur into it.

Than we use fiterate to separate the residue. We get sulphur solution and the common salt and sand left behind .

Evaporates the sulphur solution in open . Carbon disulphide get evaporates and crystal of sulphur we get .

Again to get common salt from residue we dissolve it in water and leave it undisturbed for some time ,the salt get settled down.

Evaporates the solution and salt will be left behind .
