We cant use Fleming's Left hand rule in generator. This is because in Fleming's Left Hand rule it states that " If a current carrying conductor is placed in a uniform magnetic field then it experiences a force " . But in generator it is that when force is applied to a conductor in a uniform magnetic field , current is induced. This is called electromagnetic induction. This is given by Fleming's Right Hand Rule. Hence we cannot use Fleming's Left Hand Rule for Generator.

Hope this helps!!
Cheers!!
