i) The defect here is myopia
ii) Type of lens used to Correct this defect is concave lens
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
- Myopia is also called as short sightedness.
- We see that here the ray of light is coming from somewhere near the eye and it forms an image behind the retina.
- To Correct short sightedness we use concave lens which bends the light towards the retina.
- There is also another defect called as Hypermetropia.
- Hypermetropia is aslo called as long sightedness.
- Here the person feels difficult to see objects away from the person's eye.
- To correct it we shall use a convex lens which diveges the line such that the image gets formed on the retina.
- Retina is the places where the image should be forced and from there with the help of rods and comes the signals will be transmitted to the brain via the Optic nerve.
