Step-by-step explanation:

In Δ ADC

ADC + DAC + ACD = 180°

30° + x + 120° = 180

[Sum of all angle in a Triangle is 180°]

x + 150 = 180

x = 30 ---(1)

Now, In Δ ABD

BAD + ADB + ABD = 180

(x+y) + 30 + 90 = 180

30 + y + 120 = 180 [from 1]

y = 180 - 150

y = 30

Therefore x = y [Proved]

Answer:

given -

∠ D = 30°

∠ C = 120°

∠ B = 90° (given in fig.)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

as all the 3 angles of a triangle = 180°

∠ x = 180° - ( 120° + 30°) (angle sum property)

⇒ 180° - 150°

⇒ 30°

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

∠ACB = 180° - 120° = 60° (adjacent angles)

∴ y = 180° - (90° + 60°)

⇒ 180° - 150°

⇒ 30° = ∠y

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

as both ∠x = ∠y = 30°

⇒ ∴ x = y

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
