Solution :-

The correct answer of this question is 6 people.

Explanation -

If there are 5 people in a room, and I walk into the room and kill 4 out of 5 people, then there will be 6 persons remaining in that room because the persons killed will remain persons. Dead persons will also be counted. They would not change into anything else or won't disappear from there. So, 4 dead persons and 2 alive persons (including me), there will be 6 persons remaining in the room.

This question can have two different answers based on assumptions:

  • 5 people in a room.
  • You go in.
  • You kill 4 people.

Solution:

Assumption 1: If there were 5 in the room and you go in. It will become a total of six people now. After killing, if the dead are also assumed to be people, then there are 6 people in the room.

Assumption 2:  If there were 5 in the room and you go in. It will become a total of six people now. If you kill 4 people and the dead people do not account, then, there are 2 people in the room. You and the other living person.
