my opinion for king midas is he was very greedy .
Explanation:
he was very greedy.he only want gold and money by this he took the promise by a old man that if the king help hom.so he gave a spell to the the king midas.by excitement king bed more greedy and said to him that give a spell to me that I touch anything will convert to directly gold.by this he can't eat and drink and also he converted his daughter into gold.he realized his mistake and ask the old man to take your spell to you only I don't want anything from you.
