Given: a1=16
an=an-1 +14
To find: First 5 terms
Solution:
an=an-1 +14
an-an-1=14
We know that, difference between two consecutive terms gives the common difference of the arithmetic progression.
so, an- an-1= d where, d is the common difference
here, we got d =14
a1=16
so, first 5 terms of the AP is: 16, 16+14, 16+(2*14), 16+(3*14), 16+(4*14)
=16, 30, 44, 58, 72
