"Telangana" is bordered by the following states: "Maharashtra" to the "north and north-west", "Karnataka" to the "west", "Chhattisgarh" to the "north-east" and "Andhra Pradesh" to the "south and east". It also shares an almost negligible boundary with "Odisha" in the "north east".  

Telangana was formed on "June 2, 2014" after years of agitation by the people of this region as they were against the fact that the income and resources from their area was being utilised more by the Andhra region when Telangana needed more resources for its development.
