Answer :-

»Given-

• Radius = 14 cm

»To find :-

• The area and circumference of the circle

~we know that

Area of a circle = πr²

Circumference of a circle = 2πr

Value of π = 22/7

Solution :-

» Area = πr²

» Area = 22/7 × 14² [cancel 7 and 14 by 7]

» Area = 22 × 2²

» Area = 22 × 4

» Area = 88 cm²

» Circumference = 2πr

» Circumference = 2 × 22/7 × 14 [cancel 7 and 14 by 7]

» Circumference = 2 × 22 × 2

» Circumference = 2 × 44

» Circumference = 88 cm

Question 2 :-

»Given :-

• Three angles of a quadrilateral are 55°, 65° and 105°

»To find :-

• The fourth angle of the quadrilateral

~We know that

Quadrilateral = 360°

Solution :-

» Quadrilateral = angle 1 + angle 2 + angle 3 + angle 4

» 360° = 55° + 65° + 105° + angle 4

» 360° = 225° + angle 4

» angle 4 = 360° - 225°

» angle 4 = 135°

Hence,

Fourth angle of the quadrilateral is 135°.
