can you please explain me this step..its urgent..how does tan alpha changed to cos alpha

by the Pythagoras Theorem we know that the square of hypotenuse is equal to the square of the base + the square of the perpendicular we know perpendicular is 12 base is 5 and hypotenuse is 13 so tangent of Alpha would be 12 by 5 and cosine of Alpha would be 12 by 13 it's just buy the formula engine is equal to perpendicular ÷ base and cosine is equal to best divided by hypotenuse
