Can you please explain this stanza?

Autumn is on the horizon I can tell
By the colored leaves that fell,
While all around the land was green,
The change in the season hardly seen.

The given stanza belongs to a poem penned by Joseph T. Renaldi, titled Autumn On The Horizon. The poet has beautifully portrayed how autumn feels and looks like. In the first stanza, he goes on to narrate how he can tell that autumn is on the horizon. He finds all the coloured leaves falling. He finds greenery all around him. which are so beautiful to see around and he admires the same. All this charm around, the change in season makes him believe that yes, now the autumn is on the horizon. Next, he feels that all these beautiful changes in nature are hardly seen. He might be trying to convey that these changes are unique, and we hardly get to see them.
