Answer:

velocity which is in straight line is know as linear velocity and the velocity which is in circular path is known as angular velocity

Explanation:

as there is no angle formed by moving object in linear path ..but in circular path angle is formed by object..that's why they are known as angular and linear velocity

Answer:

let the angular displacement is =theta

linear displacement=r

then....

  • .the angular velocity =w
  • the linear velocity is=v

now....

w=theta/t=(s/r)/t=(s/t)/r=v/r........[as, s=r( theta)]

v=rw
