Rationalising

=> √ 3 - 1 ... √ 3 - 1

√ 3 + 1 ........× √ 3 - 1

=> 3 + 1 - 2√ 3

=> 4 - 2√ 3 / 4

=> 2 ( 2 - √ 3 )/ 2
