Plants take carbon dioxide from air and in return they give oxygen. Plants want water for photosynthesis and in return they bring rainfall which increases underground water level
SillySam:
plants take o2 and release co2 just the way we respire but the amount of co2 made is all utilised for photosynthesis as a raw material for photosynthesis.

They take water and gases present in the air like co2 and o2 for photosynthesis and respiration respectively. And in return they maintain the same amount by giving out o2 during photosynthesis co2 during respiration (only during nights)and water by transpiration which increases water vapour in atmosphere causing rainfall and increasing amount of ground water.
