side of first square be s
given the side of second square is increased by 6 cm that is s+6cm
also given,area of a square becomes 156 CM square more than area of original square that is a2=a1+156
(s+6)(s+6)=s×s+156
s^2+36+12s=s^2+156
s^2-s^2+12s =156-36
12s=120
s=10
