let's replace ist box by "x" and second box by "y" and 3rd box by "a" and fourth box by "b "

x + y = 8 .... Equation ( i )

a - b = 6 .... Equation ( ii )

x + a = 13 ... Equation ( iii )

y + b = 8 ... Equation ( iv )

Solve these four Equation we get

x = 7/2

y = 9/2

a = 19/2

And

b = 7/2
