Answer:

1/7[-3i - 6j + 2k]

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

a = 2i + 4j - 5k    ----- (1)

b = i + j + k   ----- (2)

c = j + 2k.

Now,

a + b + c = 2i + 4j - 5k + i + j + k + j + 2k

              = 3i + 6j - 2k

|a + b + c| = √3² + 6² + (-2)²

               = √49

               = 7.

So, the unit vector in the direction of a + b + c = (1/7)[3i + 6j - 2k].

Therefore, the unit vector in the opposite direction = (1/7)[-3i - 6j + 2k]

Hope it helps!
