Let pair of shoes be x.
Man with whistle be y
pair of whistles be z.

From the first equation,
x + x + x = 30
3x = 30
x = 10

From second equation,
x + y + y = 20
10 + 2y = 20
2y = 10
y = 5 .

From third equation,
y + z + z = 13
5 + 2z = 13
2z = 8
z = 4.

Now, Fourth equation,
Pair of shoes + Man without whistle * whistle
= x + ( y - z/2) * z/2
= 10 + ( 5 - 2) * 2
= 10 + 3 * 2
= 10 + 6
= 16

Hope helped!^^

Thanks for the question!

It is definitely a very interesting question to solve and do some brainstorming.

**************************************************

3 pairs of shoes gives 30. Which means single pair is 10.

Single pair of shoe with two doll gives 20 which means single doll is 5

Single doll with 2 pair of whistles gives you 13 which mean a pair of whistles is 4

Now to the question,

Pair of shoes + doll* single whistle

10+5*2

As per BODMAS Rule

10+10

which gives us 20.

That's it
