C. Travel to Belmont.

The following question is from on of the most well known play of all times- Merchant of Venice, written by William Shakespeare.

This question revolves primarily around three characters- Antonio, Bassanio and Portia.

Bassanio had asked a loan from his dearest friend Antonio because he wanted to woo Portia. Although he himself had a very limited finance, he wanted to impress Portia with wealth and glamour and win her hand.

Since Antonio's ships were all out to sail and he too did not have much money at the time, he agreed to borrow money from the wicked Shylock at his own expense.
