Answer:

110

Step-by-step explanation:

C.P of watch be x

C.P of wall clock be y

x + y = 390 --> a

10% of x + 15% of y = 51.50 ==> 10x + 15y = 5150 ==> 2x + 3y = 1030 --> b

solving a and b

x = 140 y = 250

y - x = 110

Let the cost price of watch be X and that of clock be Y.

Then, X + Y = 390------(1)

profit on watch =
(x \times  \frac{10}{100} )  = \frac{x}{10}
profit on wall clock =
y \times  \frac{15}{100}  =  \frac{3y}{20}
Total profit =
 \frac{x}{10}  +  \frac{3y}{20}  = 51.50
 \frac{2x + 3y}{1}  = 1030

2x + 3(390 - x) = 1030
using equation 1

x = 140
So Y = 390-140 = 250

Difference between their price = 250-140 = 110.
