A beguiling and delightful gathering of short stories set in an around the city of Dehra among the foothills of the himalayas. The day and age feels like the mid 1980s, preceding the residential communities of India were changed(in both great and awful courses) in the mid 1990s. It's been near two decades since I last read this book regardless I appreciated it monstrously once more, which is astonishing for two reasons - the heroes are all kids and the world these stories are set in additionally doesn't exist any longer(with the exception of in the recollections and creative ability of the writer). I believe that regardless of these obvious downsides, there is a comprehensiveness to the subjects and feelings the stories touch after, giving them an ageless quality.
