• The political system that is being followed in USA is a two – party system dominated by the Democratic Party and the Republican Party.

• Single party rule, combined with democratic centralism, is followed in USSR.

• In a two party democracy, the people have a choice in between the two options available. They have to be satisfied with what they have.

• In a single party system with a democratic centralism, the option of the people are still lesser, as they need to opt one leader out of the existing ideology, as it is with the Communist party in the case of USSR.

• In both the situation, the liberty of the people is marginally curtailed, with not much options, but to choose from the restricted available.
