We know, Cannizaro's reaction is given by aldehydes which do not contain any alpha-Hydrogen atom.

α-H is that H atom, which is attached directly to the C-atom, which is linked directly to the carbonyl carbon.

In H-CHO, there are no α-H atom, so it gives Cannizaro's reaction.

In, CH₃-CHO, there are 3 α-H atoms, so it doesnt give Cannizaro's reaction.

So, option (d) is correct.
