Resistor = 47kΩ

Voltage = 5v

calculate the time constant for the circuit

T = R * C

where R = the value of the resistors in ohms

C = the value of the capacitor in Farads

T = time constant for circuit in seconds

R = 47Ω = 0.047Ω

T = RC

T = 0.047Ω x 100μF

T = 4.7sec
