According to me, basic of anything includes the principles which make it happen. In Organic chemistry, it's all about carbon and breaking and building of bonds.Theprinciples which cause that are- electron deficient atoms seek electron rich environment and electron rich atoms seek electron deficient environment.There are also different factors which affect the electron densities and bond formation. Example of the first being electron withdrawing or donating groups. Example of the second being stearic hinderances.All the above mentioned points sum up organic chemistry and can be called it's basics. :)
