"Carbon di oxide is fixed in (b) Dark reaction.

Carbon fixation occurs in the chloroplast stroma and is independent of light.

It is the first step of the Calvin cycle wherein in the carbon molecules from the carbon-dioxide are fixed using ATP and NADPH by the RuBisCo enzyme.

This reaction is called as dark reaction as it does not use light as catalyst and thus is not dependent on it directly.
